It was the biggest moment in Page’s training career, marking his first stakes victory and proving that sometimes the best investments come at a fraction of the price of top-tier purchases.
Originally purchased with the Nhill Cup in mind, she not only won that race but backed it up with victory in the Koroit Cup at Warrnambool. A runner-up finish in the Strathalbyn Cup further underlined her talent, and despite five unplaced runs at black-type level, punters stuck with her in the Premier’s Plate. Sent out a $4 second favourite, she led all the way under apprentice Alana Livesey, holding off her rivals in a career-best performance.
